The Schramberger Orgelkonzerte e.V. association emerged in 1996 from the organ builder group, which accompanied the restoration of the Walcker organ in Sankt Maria. The aim was to present the two historic organs in Sankt Maria and Heilig Geist to a broad public in concerts. Many internationally renowned artists have been guests so far. The following may be mentioned as representatives: Peter Planyavsky, Vienna, John Scott, London, Daniel Roth, Paris, Kalevi Kiviniemi, Lahti, Alexander Fiseisky, Moscow, Ewald Koiman, Amsterdam, Marie-Claire Alain, Paris, Ludger Lohmann, Stuttgart, Christoph Bossert, Würzburg and Rudolf Meyer, Winterthur. The association also attaches great importance to concerts with performers from the area, such as the concerts by the orchestra of the Schramberg Music School or the Schramberg Town Music together with Rudi Schäfer or that Anniversary concert of the church choir in 2011 with English cathedral music for choir, wind instruments and organ. A particular challenge is the organization of the international organ competition "Schramberger Eberhard Friedrich Walcker Prize". The unique thing about this competition is that it is dedicated exclusively to German organ romanticism and can be held on two authentic reference instruments. In 2009, the newly built Heintz organ in the Protestant town church was included in the concert series, expanding the romantic sound palette to include a more baroque instrument. If you would like to support the work of the Schramberger Orgelkonzerte e.V. association, you can become a member.
